Hi my name is Aubrey and in 2016, I suffered a Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) while on a training ride for AIDS/LifeCycle. In the aftermath, I also suffered 3 strokes, I was given a 5% chance of survival, and the prognosis was that I would not last the night. I was supposed to be in a coma for at least 3 months with a small chance of waking up, but I woke up in 10 days. It has been a long journey of physical, occupational, speech, and cognitive therapy.

When I was recovering in the hospital, I scoured the internet trying to find stories of people who had recovered from Traumatic Brain Injuries, but I couldn’t find anything. So I told myself that when I got out, I would share my own journey which is why I’m on RUclips.
